The Wachenheim ‘village wine’ in a version that was held back and aged for an additional two and a half years in large barrels. The age is only noticeable in the wine’s greater harmony and roundness, with all the components fully integrated, yet the freshness and intensity of the aromas remain distinctly youthful. On the nose, citrus fruits and lemon pastries meet notes of yellow apple and Williams pear. On the palate, it shows perfect balance – relatively full-bodied, with a creamy texture, along with lively acidity, making it enjoyable in generous sips. This is the charming, approachable side of German Riesling.

One of Germany’s largest family wineries and biodynamically cultivated estates. They have 86 hectares and instead of growing further, they’re cutting down in order to improve the biodynamic growing. Beside the dry Rieslings, they are known for their sweet wines. They classify their vineyards based in a Burgundian way.
