One of the classics of the wine region, which is often referred to as one of Pfalz’s 3 Bs, the winery was established in 1718 and currently grows grapes on 50 hectares, cultivating biodynamically since the millennium. It’s their entry-level Riesling from the vineyards around Deidesheim, Ruppersberg and Forst. The grapes harvested from soils with different properties and qualities were blended after being pressed and aged separately in stainless steel tanks on fine lees. The Art Nouveau label perfectly represents the style of the house, and behind it, there is an exceptionally fine, distinctive and fresh Riesling with aromas of green apple, wildflowers, peach and citrus.
One of Pfalz’s big classics with a 300-year-old history and a winemaking family that has defined German wine culture. The varieties and the best plots haven’t changed. The 50-hectare estate is cultivated biodynamically, and Bassermann-Jordan wines are made with whole-bunch pressing, and long, cool, tank fermentation.
