A textbook Pfalz Riesling from the renowned Dr. Von Bassermann-Jordan estate. The biodynamic vineyards, whole-bunch fermentation in tanks, extended lees contact, and ageing in a cool environment contribute to its vibrant, almost sparkling acidity. Peach blossom and green apple on the nose, with juicy fruits and grapefruit on the palate, and subtle saltiness on the finish due to the slate soils.
One of Pfalz’s big classics with a 300-year-old history and a winemaking family that has defined German wine culture. The varieties and the best plots haven’t changed. The 50-hectare estate is cultivated biodynamically, and Bassermann-Jordan wines are made with whole-bunch pressing, and long, cool, tank fermentation.
