An organically-cultivated vineyard with 50-year-old old vines, right next to Szent György Hill, where Robert Gilvesy’s first move was to switch the insufficient, former curtain-trained vines to Guyot training, which nicely made up for the missing vines. Volcanic soil, harvesting by hand, spontaneous fermentation, and the more restrained use of oak compared to earlier years. The ripe aroma of the variety’s peach blossom, subtle tension on the palate, the fieriness of the warm vineyard, a delicately sweet barrel feel, citrusy, juicy and very long on the finish. One of the winery’s best Rieslings.
