Beside the Karmazsin, this is a one-off special edition Merlot-Kékfrankos blend with 1,200 bottles made, from Gyula Szabó’s winery. It was spontaneously fermented in open vats, on the skins, then without pressing, it was aged for 14 months in 300-litre and 225-litre used barrels before it was bottled with low sulphur. A distinctive and complex wine with rich fruitiness, soft tannins and lovely balance.
