A legendary, long-established Cabernet Franc from Rádpuszta: its first vintage, the 2007, was crafted under the professional guidance of János Konyári, who is also responsible for the name (Lit. bringer of good news). About a third of the 40 hectares surrounding the winery is dedicated to Cabernet Franc, from which small-berried, airy bunches are harvested for the Evangelista. The wine undergoes controlled fermentation in tanks and is then aged for 14 months in 225-litre oak barrels. Varietally pure, it is bold and deep: warm character, spiciness, berry notes, eucalyptus, blackberries and fine dark chocolate, with a firm tannin structure and great length. It is still in the early stages of its journey, so it's worth giving it a few years.
