The southern exposure of Öreghegy has long yielded exceptional white wines. As early as the 13th century, documents from Tihany Abbey referred to this site as 'Szárhegy' – giving birth to both the name and the wine itself. The 2023 vintage is 100% Hárslevelű from loess-clay soils. The wine was fermented and aged equally in stainless steel tanks and 500-litre Hungarian oak barrels. The two together bring perfect balance between freshness and depth – a juicy palate, refined texture and pure structure. On the long, expressive palate, it reveals salinity and yellow fruit. The natural softness of Hárslevelű is elevated by taut acidity, culminating in flavours of linden blossom and mandarin.
