Under the management of Florian Zaruba, the 60-hectare Kristinus estate has been cultivated biodynamically for four years, and since last year we have been selecting wines that are becoming more and more convincing every year. The first wines of the new vintage arrived in May, including the grapey, juicy and round Irsai. Its style differs from that of last year – based on the harvest stats, the juice was dense in the berries, the sugar level was higher, with fermentation on the skins and ageing in amphorae playing a greater role in the cellar. It was spontaneously fermented, then bottled unfiltered and unfined.
