In 2020, for the first time, a white partner of Dávid Bökő’s Tihany red was made according to a similar idea, with an old Balatonfüred postcard on the label. He harvested from two places, from the Lőczedomb in Csopak and from Balatonfüred – both are his own organically cultivated parcels. In the end, only Olaszrizling was put into the wine, with tank-made and barrel-fermented parts in equal proportions, then it was bottled unfiltered and unfined. It was a big wine from a young winemaker, which disappeared from our store shelves within a few months. Now, here is the next one, and the new vintage has an even richer palate. The nose is pure white fruit, the palate has a fine structure, with some lees notes, and just a touch of sourness, but is otherwise juicy and round. The larger part of it was aged in tanks, the smaller part in used barrels, until bottling in August. It’s unfiltered, unfined and bottled with a touch of sulphur.
