The uniquely individual Lőczedombi Olaszrizling grows on a typical red Permian sandstone hill, on 45-year-old vines and altogether 4,000-5,000 bottles are made of it annually. The single-vineyard wine is spontaneously fermented in barrels and tanks, followed by ageing in second-fill, 125-litre barrels for half a year. It’s a full-bodied white wine with a creamy palate that leaves enough room for the characteristics of both the place of growth and the variety. Citrus fruit, peaches and apples appear on the nose, while the palate is elegant, ripe and mineral.
