Don’t be misled by the screw cap, the fresh vintage and the word ‘simply’: this is a weighty wine. Youthful in appearance, with a crimson colour, clearly dominated by Cabernet in aromas and taste. Notes of paprika, pepper, blackcurrant and a hint of poppy. The palate is juicy, fruit-forward, low in tannin. 40% Cabernet Franc, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 10% Kèkfrankos. Fermentation in tanks, ageing for 8 months in 4-year-old, 500-litre barrels.
