September has returned, which is the red blend of the Gellavilla selection. It is sometimes made from two varieties, other times from three, with proportions that may change – but the style and the underlying concept never do. The estate’s highest-lying parcel, which is 1 hectare in size, is dedicated to red varieties. The selected Kékfrankos and Merlot from here underwent spontaneous fermentation, then, after nearly half a year of ageing, it was bottled in July 2024. The greatness of the 2023 vintage lies in its balanced, medium-bodied palate, its spiciness and its gentle rustic character. Pomegranate colour, with pure aromas, subtle oak and the fine, powdery tannins we usually associate with our favourite Spanish wines.

It shows its best form when served slightly cooler than the classic red wine temperature, at 9–10°C.
A total of 4,536 bottles have been made of it.
