An estate wine from the Balaton vineyards of the Archdiocese of Veszprém, from lands that have been cultivated by the archbishopric since 1277. The grapes come from the leaner, primarily volcanic vineyards of Mindszentkálla and the clay-rich, fertile vineyards of Felsőörs. The blend is half Riesling, nearly one-third Olaszrizling, with 10% Királyleányka and 10% Zöldveltelini (Grüner Veltliner) adding spice. Controlled cool fermentation at the winery with sparkling wine yeast, followed by three months of ageing on fine lees. Fresh and highly aromatic, with juicy, chunky, ripe peach and citrus notes, underpinned by a subtle salinity. Deep-reaching flavours, vibrant minerality and a balanced structure elevate the radiance of the Archdiocese’s sacramental wine to a new level.
