Tramini from the Málnás vineyard, reinterpreted. The charm of Gellavilla is that almost every vintage of every wine is unique and one-off. The same thing happened now as well: after harvesting the Piros Tramini grapes from the area adjacent to Öreghegy (a parcel on which raspberries were grown instead of grapes until 1968, hence the name), the destemmed berries were spontaneously fermented with skin contact for nearly two weeks, in open vats. After the pressing, the very end of fermentation was completed in tanks, in which the wine was aged untouched on fine lees until the middle of the summer, and then it was bottled with minimal lees and even less sulphur (11 mg/l). It has a complex palate, is extremely pleasant to drink, with a pomegranate colour and subtle tannins. The golden-brown wax and the amber-coloured bottle match the mood of the latest Málnás.
