The 2019 Bikavér was made from a blend of Kékfrankos, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Zweigelt and Blauburger, cultivated organically in the Eger wine region’s less often mentioned Kutyahegy and Bikus vineyards, which are high in potential. After the hand harvest, the wine was fermented in tank, then 90% of it was aged in 225- and 300-litre barrels for a year and a half, in the depths of the tuff cellar in Ostoros. It’s a cosmopolitan, youthful, medium-bodied wine with a screw cap, lively acids, nice forest fruits and oak spices.
