This is what happens when everything coincides: the harmony of varieties, the place of growth, the ancient cellar and a precise winemaker in it. Bikavér made from Kékfrankos, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Kadarka and Cabernet Sauvignon, fermented in tanks, aged for 11 months in barrels. It’s a wine made from ripe raw material, with a dark colour, in a true Eger style. Complex and dynamic, full but still fresh. On the palate, there’s red and black berry fruit, sour cherries, cherries, cranberries and minerality.
The story of György Lőrincz and his family is a two-decade-long success story, during which they went from being a small winery to becoming an icon of the wine region, with international awards, a restaurant, a wine bar and emblematic wines. The Egerszalók winery focuses on local varieties and the terroir.
