A small-batch selection blended from the best raw material of the flagship grape variety of the wine region. From the limestone-soil, cool-climate terroir of the Nagy Látóhegy, the grapes are harvested by hand, then fermented in tanks, after which the most promising batches are aged in new 228- and 300-litre French and Austrian oak barrels for 10 months. Finally, the contents of the barrels deemed to be the best are blended together for this selection of 2,646 bottles. It has a ruby colour of medium intensity. Aromas of cherries, plums and rosehip appear on the nose alongside such darker tones as blackberry and liquorice, while the vanilla, clove notes and slight smokiness suggest oak ageing. The palate is also dominated by red fruits: cherries, red plums and rosehip, with toast in the background, and a touch of dark chocolate and cloves rounding it out.
