Előd has a deft touch with Pinot Noir, a grape understood by so few outside of Burgundy. Pinot, his true favourite, was one of the reasons he established his winery in Etyek, where the sparkling wine tradition, thin-skinned clones, chalky soil, restrained reds and lively sparkling base wines all align. The 2023 vintage pairs closely with the first vintage offered in our selection (2021), returning to a rounder, sweeter-toned, fruity character after last year’s herbal, tea-like profile. Fresh aromas of wild strawberries, with a creamy, layered palate.

This wine is a blend of batches fermented in tanks and oak vats. After fermentation, the wine was pressed and aged for 10 months in used Hungarian and French oak barrels. Bottled unfiltered and unfined in July.
