The village of Helemba is bordered by three rivers: the Danube flows directly in front of it, which can be followed as far as Esztergom Basilica. The Ipoly is behind it, and the Garam winds around the western side. Oszkár Világi and his team planted nearly 10 hectares of vines here in 2015. Although 300-year-old hole cellars can still be found in one of the loess walls of the village, there had been no wine production in the area for the last 30 years, so it is at least as much of a (re)discovery as what happened at Muzsla with Frigyes' wines. Because of the rivers, this place is almost a reserve, where mouflon live to this day, and the waters here were previously defined by the sturgeon, which is also on the label. The volcanic hill is called Burda, which with its clay loess soil on andesitic bedrock and steep vineyards is an excellent place to grow grapes. A third of the 9.5 hectares is organically cultivated, while the rest is in transition. The selection is broad, mainly consisting of international varieties, the winemaking follows Germanic precision and a reductive direction. The style of the wines is popular, but in addition to the varietal character, you can feel a deep mineral vibe in each of them, which is unique to the place of growth.

In addition to our two reductive white wines, the Zöldveltelini (Grüner Veltliner) and the Sauvignon Blanc, the selection is based on a classic Riesling. With the new 2021 vintage, both the label and the wine have been renewed. The sketched map summarizes the estate's ‘terroir selection’ wines, the winemaking of which is rather traditional, oxidative instead of reductive, with the use of barrels instead of tanks, spontaneous fermentation instead of controlled, plus ageing on the lees. It’s one of the best classic and aged Riesling wines in our domestic selection. It was aged for half a year on fine lees in 6-hectolitre Hungarian barrels. Compared to the 2020 vintage, it has a more acidic and zestier character, with citrus and orange oil notes on the nose.
