This year, it's not Juhfark but Szürkebarát (Pinot Gris) arriving in the lineup from Monoszló. The grapes, harvested from a parcel near the volcanic cone of Hegyestű, were pressed as whole bunches after a short period on the skins. The must underwent spontaneous fermentation in barrels, where it was then aged for eight months. It is restrained on the nose, pure and linear on the palate, with a structure that evokes the crispness of a Pinot Gris from the Rhine, but with a Monoszló accent.
Only 300 bottles of it are available.
