The year 2023 brought numerous challenges for Káli Kövek, with the most severe damage caused by hailstorms affecting some of the village wines. This year, grapes from new plots in the Balaton Felvidék (Uplands) were also used in Rezeda, bringing new, exciting flavours to the wine. The higher proportion of barrel ageing resulted in a deeper and more complex taste. The grapes from these new areas added freshness and variety, perfectly complementing the traditional Káli Basin character. White flowers, peach and the almond notes typical of Olaszrizling, with a rich, oily palate.
