Rezeda is the winery's oldest wine, having been made every vintage since 2009. It does not come from a single vineyard site, but is composed from the grapes of several nearby plots – thus presenting a composite picture of the Káli Basin each year.
After the manual harvest, the must underwent spontaneous fermentation, then rested, half in tank and half in oak barrels of various sizes, until blending, after which it was bottled. Rezeda is the starting point of the winery. Below it are the light, reductive wines, and above it are the barrel-aged village wines.
On the nose, it exudes citrus, apple, and pear with a subtle mineral background. The palate is crisp and taut, finishing with the almond note characteristic of Olaszrizling. There's a touch of the old times in it – the kind of wine that almost takes you back to the press. Damp wood, fresh must, simple and very lovable, with flavours of the local terroir.
