“It’s not a classical one, but it’s a rosé the way we like it” – Frigyes Bott.

The second vintage of Frigyes Bott’s unconventional rosé was made purely from Kékfrankos. The biodynamically cultivated grapes from Muzsla’s Öreg Hill were kept on the skins for one day after destemming, then the must was put into used Hungarian barrels. For the sake of excitement, a case and a half of hand destemmed Kékfrankos was also put into the barrels. This way, the spontaneous fermentation happened together with the complete berries that brought along an extra layer into the wine. From fermentation to bottling, the barrels lay without pouring over in the cellar. In the same way as last year, the bottling happened without filtering and fining and with the addition of a little sulphur. Diverse aromas, substantial palate, vibrant acidity, complex structure, thirst-quenching and round.
