A Classic Bott-style Lipovina, i.e. Hárslevelű: whole-bunch pressing, spontaneous fermentation, then ageing for 10 months in well-used barrels, then bottled unfiltered, with minimal added sulphur. It unfolds beautifully, with captivating complexity, and aromas of pear, peach, tea and herbs, floral notes, honeycomb and leatheriness. The appearance is hazy, the palate is exciting, with vibrant acidity, subtle grip and a long finish. A multifaceted wine that’s worth spending time on.
