Despite the significantly reduced yield due to the heavy rains in May, 2023 is still considered one of the best vintages: early autumn was sunny, allowing the harvest to proceed as planned. The cellar employed the well-known ‘layered-whole bunch method’: at the bottom of the vat, bunches were trodden by foot, then whole clusters were added intact, with hand-destemmed grapes on top. The promising vibrant cherry and cooling plum on the nose continue throughout the palate.
