An elegant natural wine with Muzsla character. The palate is long, full and rich with herbal, tea notes and a citrusy finish. It’s made from biodynamically cultivated grapes grown on chalky soil near the River Danube. Traditional winemaking with minimal use of sulphur. The bunches are put into the press whole, and then the fermentation starts spontaneously in the barrel.
It’s unfiltered, fresh and mineral – the special face of the variety.
It was love at first sight when I first laid my eyes upon the nine hectares which lie on Öreg-hegy (Old Hill) at the confluence of the Danube and the Garam rivers, the latter which after running down the Slovakian hills quietens down on the plain.
