Chardonnay and its associates (Pinot Blanc, Viognier) and a touch of Sauvignon Blanc in a well put-together blend. It’s a real benchmark in the barrel-made white wine category. From the acacia honey, through spices, to the buttery, citrusy notes, the new Hemina ‘knows’ everything. The grapes selected from Pannonhalma Archabbey’s own vineyards were sorted optically before being put into the press. The fresh must descends into the cellar without pumps, only via gravity, where it is aged in 500-litre barrels for 8 months.
