It's almost a tradition in autumn that we introduce the new wines of Imre Györgykovács, who typically avoids even vintages. (It turned out that there has been more luck for the odd years.) Nevertheless, the wines of the current year, 2020, are in very good shape. “They're tasty,” begins Imre. “It was very hot, which is why the wines don't have such pronounced acids. In return, they are gentle. They are not dominated by the acids but by the flavours, and minerality props them up.” In 2020, a total of 2,700 bottles of wine from the three varieties were produced on the smallest estate (0.48 hectares) of our selection.
