Although the Kúria is from Etyek, the grapes that grow in the special, mica-soil vineyard that overlooks Lake Fertő are from Sopron. It’s an incredibly rich yet elegant wine with green herbs, ripe sour cherry, a touch of plum and the subtle oak of the long ageing in French and Hungarian barrels. The Bortársaság team was there selecting the bunches that were put into the press on the last day of the harvest.
