In this Heimann classic, not only the features of the most important varieties of the estate come together, but the characteristics of the three key figures also appear. The Birtokbor (Estate wine) has the calmness of Ági Heimann, the giant heart of Zoltán Heimann, and the well-intentioned pushing of boundaries that can be connected to Zoltán Heimann Jr. It’s an unmissable Szekszárd wine, from one of the best vintages of recent years. It’s based on Cabernet Franc, complemented by Merlot, Syrah and, for the first time this year, Sagrantino. It was aged in used Hungarian barrels for 14 months. The cooler, more protected character of the red-clay-soil Bati-kereszt vineyard is clearly present in this wine, which is lighter, airier and softer, with a lot of fruit and the intense, herbal aromas typical of the vintage. The round overall picture is completed by subtle, dry tannins.
