A real classic from Szekszárd: the ‘business card’ of the Heimann family and the embodiment of their style, this estate wine provides a steadfast entry into the world of Szekszárd wines, year after year. In 2021, Cabernet Franc again serves as its backbone, with Merlot, then Sagrantino and Kékfrankos from the loess soil of the Bati-Kereszt vineyard to spice it up. The manual harvest is followed by controlled fermentation in steel tanks and wooden vats, then ageing in 300-, 500- and 1,000-litre new and ászok barrels for 1 year. The wine is distinctive, complex and diverse, and it’s more about balance and layers than body. Ripe berries, black cherries, cedar, chocolate and spiciness, with lively acidity, integrated tannins and good ageability.
