Such cool character is hardly typical of this southern wine region. Deep aromas, green herbs, anise, stems and the sultry, primary fruit notes of whole-bunch fermentation. The palate is not finely chiselled, but thick and rustic. A contemporary basic wine with exciting ‘natural’ notes. The crop of younger vines with an early harvest, spontaneously fermented in open vats with slight moving and brief skin contact. It was aged in tanks and large barrels for eight months. An unfined, hardly filtered wine that was bottled with a tiny bit of sulphur.
