A joint blend from the Lajvér winery and Bortársaság, this wine features two Bordeaux varietals. During the selection process, we focused on a pre-conceived wine style, whereby the familiar flavours of the Cabernet varietals merge with the distinctive character of the estate's vineyard terraces. Ultimately, we blended two barrels of Cabernet Sauvignon and one barrel of Cabernet Franc in an equal proportion.

2021 was an ideal year for the terraces of the Szálka vineyard. Even during the tastings of barrel samples, a generous, full-bodied and rich wine began to take shape. In collaboration with the Lajvér professional team, and following the insights of winemaker Ildikó Heppenheimer, we selected three Hungarian barrels. Each was first-fill; two held Cabernet Sauvignon and the third contained Cabernet Franc, aged for one and a half years. After blending both varieties in an equal amount, the wine underwent an additional year of ageing. Inspired by Bordeaux classics, we adorned the bottles with a yellow ochre label. Bottled in June 2023, with just 2,000 bottles made.
