Simple Bordeaux-style bottles line the table – 11 in total, their small labels marked with varietal names and lot numbers. We’re blending potential base wines for the new vintage of Három Hordó (Three Barrels). This is where the magic happens: finding the right proportions to create something greater than the sum of its parts. A slow craft with infinite possibilities, yet we reached the finish surprisingly quickly. Focusing on classic character, subtle aromas and deep flavours, we narrowed it down to three bottles, ultimately blending them in equal proportions. Három Hordó is our collaborative blend with the Lajvér winery. True to its name, the new vintage unites three barrels and three varieties: Merlot contributes rich aromas and a juicy structure, Cabernet Sauvignon brings fruit density and weight, while Cabernet Franc adds subtle details and spice. 

Aged in Hungarian oak barrels for two years, bottled in November 2024.
