A true estate wine from one of the most original Szekszárd winemakers, János Márkvárt Jnr. Only a single day labourer helps with the work on the 4-hectare estate – everything else is done by Jani and his family. The viticulture is organic, from the selection of the shoots to the digging of the cellar – everything is done by hand, with their own strength. Besides the cellar's fresh, entry-level red blend, the most important blend is this Bikavér, of which at least half is Kékfrankos every year. This gives it the zestiness and the subtle acidity, next to the heavier Bordeaux varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah. A few percent of Kadarka is also added to the blend to spice it up every year. The juicy fruit was harvested from the Baranya-völgy and Faluhely vineyards in 2018, and this Bikavér has become a smooth, spicy wine with a Mediterranean feel.
