A special Kékfrankos from Alsónána in Szekszárd, made from slightly over-ripe, shrivelled grapes. It has a complex, dried-fruit character with lovely structure and an endlessly long finish.
The vintage produced great red wines, with early bud-break, a warm spring and a dry, warm summer that lasted until mid-September. The second half of September was cool and rainy, which prevented overripening. It was the kind of vintage that we’re having more and more of ‘thanks to’ climate change, so we don't have to wait another 50 years for the next vintage of the wine (as its name might suggest).
The wine was named by the grandson of the writer Sándor Bródy, marketing specialist Alexander Brody, who in 2008 baptized the first vintage of 2007, after tasting it from the barrel.
