This is a remarkably generous and well-proportioned wine that combines Old World gravitas with New World intensity. Carefully selected from loess-rich parcels planted primarily with international varieties and a smaller proportion of Kékfrankos, with the grapes coming from the Baranya Valley and Hidaspetre vineyards. After temperature-controlled fermentation, the wine is aged for two years in used 300-500 litre Hungarian oak barrels. Full on fruitiness, rounded tannins and considerable charm – we found this to be the most distinctive wine in the Vida portfolio. It comprises 70% Cabernet Sauvignon-Cabernet Franc, 25% Kékfrankos and 5% Carmenere.
