"We’ve always been searching for what would bring us closer to elegant, generous wines," says Zsuzsi Vida, who took over the management of the estate's cellar starting with the 2020 vintage.
The extra layer, softness and fruit-forward sweetness can be felt in Vida wines that have only become more refined with the arrival of the new generation. Greater emphasis has been placed on vineyard sites, local varieties and softer-textured reds. These are modern wines with a finely polished style, made for great enjoyment. The family estate's first vineyard was located in the central Bakta vineyard. Over the years, they’ve expanded by acquiring parcels in five additional vineyard sites, bringing their total cultivated area to 23 hectares by today. The most significant among these is Hidaspetre, which is bordered by forests and loess walls, and is one of the northernmost vineyards in the wine region.
