A truly complex Chardonnay from the Birsalmás vineyard in Mád, articulating the local conditions that favour this global grape variety. The grapes harvested at the end of August were cooled and sorted, then gently pressed after destemming. The must was fermented in 228-litre barrels, in which it was matured for another 5 months. The south-facing aspect, rhyolite tuff and brown-red clay soil are reflected in a wine rich in mineral character and ripe citrus fruits. A rich, complex white wine with a true flinty Tokaj character, finely integrated oak, rounded acidity and a long finish.
