The 2022 vintage was defined by a hot, drought-stricken summer. The rains that arrived in September brought the momentum needed for the red grapes to reach full maturity. Harvest ended in mid-October with healthy bunches – the carefully chosen timing and excellent raw material resulted in a promising vintage. The Cabernet Sauvignon from the vineyards of Villány and Nagyharsány were fermented for 10 days in stainless steel tanks, then matured for 16 months in second- and third-fill oak barrels. Deep purple in colour, the nose is led by barrel spices, rose hip, juicy sour cherry and cocoa. On the palate, it shows a warm character, subtly drying ripe tannins and elegantly integrated oaky notes.
