In Villány, the cool, dry winter and spring months of 2020 were followed by a warm, dry summer that ensured optimal ripeness. Healthy, aromatic Cabernet Sauvignon was harvested from the Csillagvölgy vineyard. It was fermented for 10 days in stainless steel tanks, followed by 16 months of ageing in second- and third-fill oak barrels. Deep purple colour, with aromas of oak barrel spices, fruity tones, rosehip, juicy sour cherry and cocoa. The palate is warm, with integrated oak notes and subtly drying, ripe tannins. Enjoyable now, it will also provide a lovely experience in a few years with proper storage.
