One of the country’s most well-known wine brands, which has been the symbol of abundance and permanency for more than 20 years. Ever since the first Kopár was produced in 1997, it has only been made in the best years. 2018 met the criteria, and based on its short career, it is already evident that it adds to the number of elegant vintages. Since 2010, the low-yield, organically-cultivated grapes have been harvested by hand, then transported to the winery where it is fermented with its own yeast in tanks and wooden vats. Ageing was carried out in 300-litre Zemplén oak barrels – 90% in first fill- and 10% in second-fill for 16 months. It has an oily structure, oak spices, aromas of black and blue berry fruit, blackberry, cherry, blackcurrant, blueberry, cinnamon, cocoa and anise. Subtle nuances, balanced structure, age worthy.
