An elegant, mineral and fruity top-end Merlot from the Kopár vineyard, from 2019, a vintage which produced juicy wines. The grapes harvested from low-yield vines were fermented in large wooden vats, then aged in new, 225-litre, Hungarian oak barrels for 16 months. A deep purple and claret colour, the nose is characterised by the sweet spices of vanilla and cinnamon, and prunes. The palate is balanced and lively with black berry fruits, cocoa, coffee, minerality and barrel aromas. It’s a complex, vibrant and big wine already, but it is expected to show its full grandeur in the next 10 years.
