100% Merlot from the iconic Kopár vineyard, one of the most famous and southernmost vineyards in Hungary, where the limestone rocks emerging from the loess radiate back the heat from the sun at night. Low vine yield, hand harvest, fermentation in large wooden vats, malolactic fermentation in barrels, ageing for 16-18 months in first-fill barriques. Powerful nose, ripe black fruit notes, well-recognizable aromas of dried plums and barrel spices: toasted cinnamon and vanilla. It’s a complex, layered wine, the aromas and taste deepens with time. Vibrant palate, black berries and coffee, ripe tannin structure, soft acids.

It is a great wine even in its current state, however, it will reach its peak in 10-15 years. Available in limited quantities.
