The most important grape variety of both the wine region and the winery. The Gere family believes that although this variety can be found all over the world, it produces truly outstanding quality as a single-varietal wine in Villány. The winery makes single varietal Cabernet Franc wines from two excellent but very different vineyard sites: the cauldron-like, warmer Ördögárok vineyard, which produces fuller-bodied wines; and the masculine, structured, more austere Csillagvölgy vineyard.

Fermentation and malolactic fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks. It was aged for 16 months, 70% in new small barrels and 30% in second-fill barrels. A rich, flavourful palate, with sweet oak spices and the vibrantly fruity structure characteristic of the vintage, with blackberries and ripe forest berries.
