The Attila Gere winery showcases one of Villány’s most important grape varieties, Cabernet Franc, from the Ördögárok vineyard. One of the warmest areas of the wine region, where the grapes ripen perfectly and exceptionally full-bodied wines are made. The harvest took place in mid-October, and both alcoholic fermentation and malolactic fermentation occurred in stainless steel tanks. It was aged for 16 months in 80% new and 20% second-fill small barrels. Almost black in colour, it flows thick and leisurely in the glass. On the nose, Villány's warm, distinctive character emerges: ripe blackcurrant, blueberry, with hints of smoke, salt and dark chocolate in the background. The palate is full-bodied yet elegant: the fruit unfolds beautifully and the tannins are ripe, gently weaving their way through the wine. A precisely crafted wine, held in balance by its rounded acidity. Long on the finish, with the signature sense of proportion we've come to expect from the winery. At least 15 years of ageing potential.
