The 2022 Signal merges Mediterranean style with a touch of Italian Ripasso feel: deep, dark in colour, with aromas of ripe red berry fruit, sour cherry, plum, paprika spice and hints of clove. This is a Cabernet Sauvignon that was hand-harvested at peak maturity, spontaneously fermented and aged for 14 months in French oak barrels. The palate is meaty and layered, with juicy red berries on the mid-palate, leading to a finish of brandied cherries and subtle dried-fruit nuances. A subtly dusty tannic structure frames the wine. In character, it strikes a balance between the maturity of Bordeaux and the warmth of a modern Italian red.
