Pleasant cherry aroma with an exciting dominance of Szechuan and pink pepper. Medium-bodied and juicy, showcasing one of the grape’s finest traits. On the palate, it delivers crisp red cherry and ripe blueberry, with a minty freshness and a lovely, long, lively finish. Two of their own vineyards, a blend of Zuhánya and Ördögárok. The Zuhánya site is one of the highest in the cooler Siklós sub-region. It faces the Hungarian-Croatian plateau, benefiting from excellent airflow and slightly cooler temperatures due to its elevation, producing vibrantly fruity grapes. Ördögárok is the complete opposite, located in the warmer Villány region. It is one of the most renowned vineyards, and rightly so – its unusual shape and cauldron-like heat retention give it the name Ördögárok, which means ‘Devil’s Ditch’.
After carefully selecting the grape bunches, the grapes were destemmed. Half of the berries were placed in 750-litre clay amphorae, where they were fermented and matured, while the other half was aged in 400-litre spherical white clay vessels, known as Clayvers. The entire wine was fermented and matured in two types of clay amphorae.
