Bright purple, with lively aromas of cherry and juicy blueberry, complemented by pleasant peppery spice and minty freshness. The vibrant acidity is supported by crisp blueberry and hints of red pepper, making it a fruit- and spice-bomb of a wine with an exceptionally long and refreshing finish. The grapes come from the Zuhánya vineyard, located in the cooler Siklós sub-region, overlooking the Hungarian-Croatian plateau.
After carefully selecting the bunches, the grapes were destemmed. Half of the batch was fermented and aged in 750-litre clay amphorae, while the other half was placed in 400-litre spherical white clay vessels, known as Clayvers. After fermentation, the wine was left on the skins to extract more flavour and add complexity. Barrel-free, it was made entirely in two different types of clay amphorae. The new expression of Kékfrankos, aged in clay amphorae without any oak influence.
