The Makár can be considered a special vineyard, because there is constant wind on its plateaus, which means the diurnal temperature range between day and night is greater. Owing to this, in the summer, after the heat during the day, the cooling breeze comes at night, which helps to preserve good acidity in the grapes, resulting in beautiful wines that can be aged for a long time. The calcium-rich loess soil ensures the lively, fruity aromas here as well. After manual-harvesting, the wine was fermented in barrels and tanks, where malolactic fermentation also occurred, then it was aged for 15 months in new and used barrels. Its colour is dominated by ruby with small tints of violet, cake spices, cloves, cinnamon, cassis and blackberries on the nose. The palate harmonizes beautifully with the aromas, complemented by tobacco and chocolate. Soft, with medium tannins and a long finish.
